When the cast of "Rupaul's Drag Race" season eight was revealed, it was undeniably shocking when only 12 queens were announced and only 12 queens pranced into the "werk" room.
1. Naomi Smalls (#89)
2. Cynthia Lee Fontaine (#90)
3. Dax Exclamationpoint (#91)
4. Naysha Lopez (#92)
5. Acid Betty (#93)
6. Robbie Turner
7. Kim Chi (#95)
8. Thorny Thor (#96)
9. Bob the Drag Queen (#97)
10. Laila McQueen (#98)
11. Chi Chi DeVayne (#99)
12. Derrick Barry (#100)
A week before the season eight premiere of "Drag Race," Robbie Turner, the Seattle season eight queen, posted a picture on his Instagram with a caption which says, "So 14 drag queens are about to board a flight to Austin, Texas...#BEEPmylife." This caption suggests that maybe Robbie Turner admitted the possible introduction of two additional queens to the season.
To which Kim Chi, New York queen in the season, commented on the Instagram photo, saying, "Who's the other two bro?" to seemingly call out Robbie Turner for his slip-up.
It is not unlike Rupaul to have tricks up like this up his sleeve which he pulls out to wow us all. Such as in season six when there were two openings, where each episode featured seven queens, to which the other queens were clueless.
If Rupaul does decide to introduce two more queens to the competition, it could be two completely new ones, or perhaps, like Shangela Laquifa Widely, reintroduce past queens back to the race.
Now that Naysha Lopez has sashayed away, would Rupaul really bring another queen into the race? I guess we have to wait and see. I'm gagging to know!
