To My Best Friends

I'm talking about people, not food... my friends will understand– it's fine.

To My Best Friends
Amelia Thomas

Hey guys,

Thank you for loving me. I know I can sometimes be really annoying and I eat all of your food, but you guys are great. You encourage me and you love me. You're the kind of people I've always needed in my life. The kind who will let me eat 20 tacos even if I shouldn't. The kind who take really bad pictures and videos of me so we can all laugh about it when we're feeling down. The kind who don't care if I wear a dress shirt with my Nike shorts or at least don't judge me too much for doing it.

You guys are the best friends and everyone knows it. You guys keep things real and let me be myself and those kind of friends are one in a million. You guys mean the world to me. Yeah, sometimes I say 'I hate you' but we all know if something happened to any of you or we stopped being friends my world would fall apart.

Who would I go to to complain to? Or who would I talk about all the guys I just know I'm going to marry with? Or what about when I get hit by a car or bike AGAIN?? Who would I laugh with or say "this would only happen to me" to? You guys don't give me life but you definitely do improve my life in more ways than one.

You always tell me when I look bad, but you never tell me to stop eating and that's really all I need in life. You continuously support me and when I make bad choices or have a bad day you never say "I told you so" until I'm done freaking out. You love me an endless amount and I try to do the same in return, but I'm terrible with words and actions so here I am writing this letter. I just wanted to let you guys know that all of your kind words and the food you get me does not go to waste and it is all very much appreciated. I wish I could adequately describe each of you in a way that does all of you justice but I just can't because y'all are that great. I could write a book of all the memories we share, but I won't because we are really crazy and that would just make us look really weird and really messed up. I can't wait to make more memories and do more dumb things with you guys. I can't wait for all the days you're going to record more videos of me being stupid because those really show our true friendship.... y'all making fun of me continuously. I also can't wait to not share any of my food with you guys but steal all of your food. I really just can't wait to keep doing life with you because it makes my heart oh so happy. So shout out to you guys for being the truest friends a girl could ask for. I love you all more than cheeseburgers and tacos.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
