My Younger Brother Is My Best Friend

Even though I hate him half the time.

My Younger Brother Is My Best Friend

I know, I know. It sounds crazy, but if you think about it, it's true. You're younger brother is the best friend you've ever had. Maybe you fought sometimes, but that doesn't mean anything compared to all the good times you've had together.

Younger brothers don't have the right to be judgmental, so you can truly be yourself around them! There's so much pressure to impress older siblings, and let's face it, girls of any age tend to be more judgmental than boys. That's why a little brother is so cool. Whether you're making jokes about the "Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life" video that was cool like two years ago, or you're just being crazy and trying to rap like Eminem, your younger brother will never be the one to roll his eyes. He's the one who will join in on the silly antics.

They're also required by law to always do whatever you want... OK, maybe they aren't required by law, but they always do it anyway. I know my brother will always be up for a 10 p.m. Target run when no one else in the family will go along. He'll also never say no to a stop at Taco Bell because he's a young boy who doesn't have to worry about counting calories... yet.

You can share the best inside jokes with your younger brother. Even if he's the butt of most of the jokes, he'll still laugh along with you. It's not quite as fun once he starts making jokes back, but hey, that's just part of the friendship.

I honestly have no clue what I would do without my younger brother. He's been by my side through many late nights of being babysat by our older siblings, and I can't say that about any of my other friends! I think that's what makes a friendship one that will last a darn long time. You've been through hell together, and you were still laughing when you got to the other side.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
