Dear Truest Friend

You make my life better and I love you.

Dear Truest Friend

Dear True Friend,

As we all go through life, we all experience different relationships and friendships. Some of them last while others do not. Some are just in our lives to teach us lessons while others are just blessings all around. No matter the time or the purpose of these friendships and relationships, there is a purpose to them.

I have had the privilege of having a friend like you who has watched me grow up and who has more than helped me become who I am. You have been one of the biggest influences on my life and I think everyday to myself how lucky I am to have had and to still have you in my life. Some days, text messaging conversations with you are the only thing that help me keep my cool.

It started with me as just a little girl who enjoyed seeing you every week. As a grew into a teenager, it turned into a friendship that at the time I did not know I would be forever thankful for. Now I have the privilege of having you as a coworker too. Having you as a coworker means you not only have my back in general, but also at work. You have watched me and stood by me through the worst and best moments. Considering there have been times when I cannot even stand myself, the fact that you have stayed by me is stunning.

When I left to college, I know we both felt a bit sad about it. I know I am like family to you as you are to me. It felt to you like I was one of your kids leaving you. Before I left, you said 6 simple words to me but they made me feel so accomplished, so complete. "I am so proud of you." 6 simple words, but coming from you meant everything to me. As I adjusted into my first few weeks away from home, you helped me get over the homesickness. You helped me appreciate the opportunity I am currently living.

Kind, caring, nurturing, funny, and strong are just a few of the words that can be used to describe you. You are an amazing role model to every child you have in your life. Seeing the affect you have had on me, I know all those other children will grow into great people too, having someone like you to look up to.

You were the first person I ever opened up to and trusted and I thank God everyday that I still can. I have never had to question whether you are loyal or not because I know you are. You have talked me through things that I was not sure how to get through. You have made me laugh countless times, whether it is videos of stupid people doing stupid things or cute dog videos. You always seem to know what to say to help!

I just want you to know that you have been on my mind lately, I think maybe because I really miss seeing you so much. I just thought I would take the time to write this to let you again that your loyalty and friendship does not go unnoticed. You are a true blessing. As time goes by, I realize more and more how rare friends like you are. Please keep shining your light on this world because it needs it. Thank you for rubbing off on me and helping me become a better person. Thank you for not giving up on me and for the late night phone calls, texts, and chats at work. You are the truest friend I have ever come across. You make my life better and I love you!

Love always,

Vron :)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
