You either love it or you hate it. It's the classic story of Scarlett O'Hara, a manipulative heiress who learns of love and loss during the Civil War and Reconstruction eras.

This is another movie with Clark Gable rescuing an heiress from her own self-destruction, except this one has a happy ending!

I will describe this one how my high school film studies teacher described it: an average looking guy just wants someone to love him. Such a sweet story that most people have not yet discovered!

You probably watched this one with your mom growing up. Julie Andrews plays Maria, a former nun, who comes to work as a governess for the Von Trapp family. The songs are timeless.

The classic story of a slow-minded man with a heart of gold, who just happens to live through some of the most important events in American history. A really cool watch if you're from Alabama, like me!

4. The King's Speech (Won 2011)

This film is fantastic! Colin Firth plays King George VI, who is about to amend to the throne. The problem? He has a stammer and has to deliver multiple speeches. The untold story of a king and his speech therapist is one you will not want to miss!

3. Rocky (Won 1977)

This is not just an excellent sports movie, it is an excellent movie in general! Rocky Balboa is a small-town fighter trying to make his way into the leagues to fight champion Apollo Creed. He falls in love with boxing, and the shy, yet beautiful, Adrian.

2. West Side Story (Won 1962)

It's the Romeo and Juliet story; two teens from rival gangs fall in love, which obviously leads to some problems. Everyone in the cast is extremely talented dancers and singers. I also had the biggest crush on Riff when I was younger! If you like musicals, this one is definitely for you!

1. Slumdog Millionaire (Won 2009)

THIS MOVIE!! A young man who grew up in the slums of India plays "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?". He answers every question correct and is accused of cheating, but his difficult life gave him all the answers he needed. This is not a light-hearted movie, but it makes me appreciate what I have. Seriously, this film is so well-done.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.

A bad day at the lake is still better than a good day not at the lake.

You know the best beaches and coves to go to.

You have no patience for the guy who can't back his trailer into the water right.

Doing the friendly wave to every boat you pass.

The cooler is always packed, mostly with beer.

Giving the idiot who goes 30 in a "No Wake Zone" a piece of your mind.

You have no problem with peeing in the water.

You know the frustration of getting your anchor stuck.

Watching in awe at the bigger, better boats that pass by.

Knowing any swimsuit that you own with white in it is best left for the pool or the ocean.

The momentary fear for your life as you get launched from the tube.

You're able to go to the restaurants by the water wearing minimal clothing.

Having unexpected problems with your boat.

Having a name for your boat unique to you and your life.

There's no better place you'd rather be in the summer.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

1. My school is incredibly unique.

2. I am not just a number at my school.

3. I feel like I am contributing something to the community.

5. My professors know me and I feel that I can easily communicate with them.

9. Ability to join a sorority and have a house full of people I know I can talk to anytime I need to

10. I have figured out how I learn best because my school offers so many different ways of learning.
