There are so many to pick from, and this is only 12 of them.

My Top 12 Harry Potter Characters.

Many people know that Harry Potter is my favorite Fandom. I've read all the books, seen all the movies, multiple times, and yes the books are better than the movies but the movies were still decent for me. Something that made the Fandom great for me was the characters. I love watching characters develop over time and I especially loved watching these characters develop over the course of the seven books. I know that technically there are eight books with "The Cursed Child" coming out this past summer but I haven't read that one yet and can't include it in considering some of my favorite characters from the series.

1. Professor McGonagall

MInerva McGonagall is one of the best professors at Hogwarts, and she is pretty bad ass. The fact that she transforms into a cat is pretty cool as well. She definitely has a love for her students and truly does what she can to protect them.

2. Hermione Granger

Hermione is a bright intelligent young woman, and I think that she inspires a lot of people to do their best. I loved seeing her grow into the brillant fighter she bacame towards the end of the series.

3. Luna Lovegood

Luna is a sweet heart and she has a lot of love in her heart. I think that she inspires others to be themselves and she doesn't try to impress others, She just does what makes her feel happy. She also grew into a strong fighter in the end, and I always knew that she was going to be a fighter.

4. Hedwig

The moment that Hedwig died, I think I died a little bit inside. She was a strong owl and she did everything she could to protect Harry. That is true loyalty and dedication.

5. Rubeus Hagrid

Hagrid is like a big fluffy teddy bear, I love his character. He also was a big protector of others and it truly showed in the way that he interacted with the students and creatures that he took care of.

6. Harry Potter

I couldn't make a list of my favorite Harry Potter characters without mentioning Harry himself. Harry was a great friend to those around him, even though it didn't look like it sometimes. Everything he did throughout the series was to help or protect those around him.

7. Ron Weasley

Ron Weasley is the best friend that anyone would want. He stuck with Harry through thick and thin, and what else could you ask for from a best friend.

8. Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody

I know that Mad-Eye might seem like a scary and creepy character, but I liked him. He had some interesting ways about doing things in the series but he died protecting Harry and in my eyes that is seen as a great act.

9. Albus Dumbledore

I loved Dumbledore, besides the fact that his name in old English means bumblebee, he was a great teacher and mentor to Harry and other students. He had peculiar ways at doing things but everything he did was for a reason. You just had to figure out what the reasons were.

10. Severus Snape

I know that throughout the series that Snape was seen as the bad teacher, and he was also accused of being a horrible person but he was not. Snape had such a great love for Harry that made me love him as a character. He could be hard on Harry but it was all for good reasons.

11. Molly Weasley

Molly is one bad ass mother. She cared for all of her children, plus Harry, very much. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do to protect her kids and that makes a great woman and makes her one of my favorite characters in the series.

12. Dobby

Lastly, there is Dobby. When Dobby was finally freed for Lucius Malfoy was one of the greatest moments in the series. Then when Dobby died, it was one of the saddest moments, but the fact that he died a free elf made it a little bit more bearable, yet still one of the saddest deaths in the series.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
