My Take on Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory"

Picture poems are a cool concept I've recently discovered. What you do is take a photograph and write a poem based on what you see. Below is my example of a poem I created based on Salvador Dali's Painting: The Persistence of Memory (seen below)


Tick.
Tock.
Tick.

Time passing
Right before your eyes
Out of reach

Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock.

That haunting memory
Of yesterday’s tragedy
That nagging guilty feeling



Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock.

Time is Fluid.
Ghosts existing in the form of memory
Tragedy replayed
over and over


Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock.


Trauma replayed
You beg the pain to stop
Take away my pain, hurt and sorrow.




Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock.


Time stops in the place of memories.
