10 Things My Summer Has Consisted Of

How is your summer going? I am still wondering when my summer is going to start. I have not caught a break since the school semester ended in May. I am always working and having to keep up with life, that I have not been able to sit back and do what I want to do. Anywho, here are some of the things that I have done, or have attempted to do.

1.Trying to work out

Giphy

Yeah, better luck next summer.

2. Eating my life away

Giphy

Food makes me happy. Who doesn't get happy when you are able to feed yourself.

3. Sleeping beauty

Giphy

Sleep is one of my faves. Once I lay down in my bed, there is no getting back up.

4. Working

Giphy

I have been working like I am full-time. I am not complaining though. Money is money!

5. Tanning

Giphy

I have been getting my tan on every second that I can.

6. Swimming time

Giphy

It never hurts to get some time in the water.

7. Being adventurous

Giphy

I love being adventurous! It is a fun time to just do you.

8. Struggling

Giphy

Summer is suppose to be a break-time for students. Well, let me say that I have yet to catch a break.

9. Almost caught my apartment on fire

Giphy

Don't ask, let's just say I didn't know one of my plates had some sort of metal in it and I put it in the microwave.

10. Gaming until I can't

Giphy

"Rocket League" and "Farcry 5" have been my go to games for the summer. Many others are playing "Fortnite," but I couldn't get into that game.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Maybe you are in the same position that I am in but find your spot. Find what makes you happy! Set goals that you wanted to accomplish over the summer, and follow through with them. There is no better time than now. If you have read this article to the fullest, I congratulate you, appreciate you, and thank you for taking the time to read my article. So, if you get to this point, comment on my posting and let me know what you have been doing over the summer!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
