My Questions for Donald and Hillary
The Telegraph

This past week, as we all know, was the event millions of people around the U.S. looked forward to, dreaded, feared, were excited for, and/or a mixture of all of these. I am talking about the first of 3 presidential debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. As a 20-year old college student, this election and the debates are very important for me because it is my first presidential election. As one of the millions of young adults who will become the future for this country, it is important to elect someone whose decisions will impact my life for not only the next 4 or 8 years, but beyond that too. Since I couldn't be at the first debate and I won't be able to make it to the next 2 either, here are some of the questions I would have asked them (political differences aside:

Question 1: What are your plans for Job growth/creation for college graduates?

As a college student in his junior year, it is time to start considering post-college plans, which means that I will have to get a job based on my area of study (Media Production.) With the media industry being a very popular and competitive industry as an example, what are your proposals to create new jobs to millions of college graduates?

Question 2: Without naming specific names, what are your strategies for combating terrorism and terrorist groups?

As terrorist attacks continue to occur overseas areas such as Europe and the Middle East, it seems like another one here in the US is inevitable. As it seems anyone can be suspicious of carrying out a gruesome attack, how can we intervene with the affairs of terrorist organizations? Should we do it on our own or with other countries?

Question 3: Hillary, where do you stand on immigration?

We all know where Donald stands on this but what's your plan as the first female president? Should people coming in to the country and veteran immigrants be kicked out even if they had proper paperwork? If not, what is they best way to assist them?

Question 4: What are your plans for gun control?

This, of course, has been a very polarizing topic in our country over the past several years but what do you think? How can we allow people the right to carry firearms without intruding the second amendment? And what about background checks, mental illness, and laws regarding hunting? Stuff's important, am i right?

Question 5: Donald, where do you stand on higher taxes for the wealthy elite?

As one of the world's wealthiest entrepreneurs, it is unfair that a person with billions of dollars has to pay very little while we, the working middle class, have to pay more. What do you believe is the best way to make the wealthy, overpaid elite that make up the 1% pay their fair shares come every tax season?

Question 6: What are your proposals for health care?

Everyone has a right to affordable, accessible medical care from a licensed medical professional. It doesn't matter what race, age, gender, or socioeconomic status you are-no one should be denied access to a doctor because they can't afford it. What are your plans to give people the medical attention they need?

Question 7 (Last One): Where do you see this country going by the end of your presidency?

Being the President of the United States is not a piece of cake (as much as I like cake.) The whole country will have your eyes on you every day for the next 4 or 8 years. What do you hope to accomplish by the end of your presidency and what do you think your legacy on this country will be?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
