This is to my best friend, and you know who you are. Senior year of high school, I knew deep down that you were my best friend because no matter how much food I ate, you did not judge me. If I remember correctly, you would be right there beside me eating just as much. Just kidding, that is not the reason why you are my best friend, but it is one of the many reasons why I love you. From ditching school and getting lunch and shopping, to awkward dancing and singing in the car at the top of our lungs with the windows down while driving to Taco Bell (we always had food on our minds), and jumping railroad tracks in the car, and late night talks, I knew that you were my forever friend.
To my actual soulmate (we can forget boys), thank you for never leaving my side. I was scared after graduation that we would separate and go our own ways, and I would lose you. Thankfully that never happened, and even though we are at separate colleges now, we are closer than ever. Although I don't get to see you every day like I used to, we still talk almost every day and I always know we've got each other no matter what the situation is.
You are my sidekick, partner in crime, and we are basically the same person. God knew we would have to have one another in our lives or else we would be insane without each other. I'm not kidding people. I want to thank you for always telling me what is right, keeping me grounded, and being honest with me. I would be lost without you in this world. Thank you for always being a shoulder to lean on, a person to call at two in the morning if I am feeling down, and for always being the first person to hear about anything that happens. No matter what, you are there for me and I know that you always will be.
I want to thank you for being a great role model for me. You are so humble, selfless, gracious, smart, beautiful inside and out, and truly a Proverbs 31 woman. You make me want to be a better person every single day. You cherish every moment in life and you always look for the positives in things. I want to thank you for always reminding me that every thing is going to be okay, no matter how bad it seems. And most importantly, I want to thank you for constantly reminding me that God is the most important thing in life and for always sending me encouraging bible verses. What more could I want from a best friend?!
So, to my best friend, my person, my forever friend, never change. You have impacted my life in more ways than I can count on my fingers, and I cannot wait until we are old living next to each other. I hope that every one can find a best friend like you, but I don't know if that's possible because there is only one of you.
