My Mom Is My Joy And Happiness

One of the greatest gifts sent from God is the person I call "mom."

It is no where near Mother's Day, but, to me, everyday is Mother's Day. Remembering my mother is a consequential occurrence. My mother is in my heart and with me through every second of the day. Is she my best friend? That a little description for her. Is she my love? That is not enough. My mother is the beat of my heart and the light of my life.

I can't get over how much she cares for me. I can't stop feeling blessed and lucky because of her in my life, praying for me and guiding me through every day of every year. She truly lightens up my path and her advices save me constantly. If I'm down, she drags me with her to go out and get out of my negative mood. If I'm hurt, she fights for me and defends me better than I could defend my self. If I want something, she would do the impossible to make sure I have it.

I'm not over-exaggerating! This is how my lovely mother is. I find words unsatisfying to describe what she is to me. Even though she has an infinite love for me and for my family, I do her unjustly sometimes. I regret ever making her sad. Her generous heart is never upset with me though. She's a perfect woman to me because I've never seen her unpleasant with me or with any of my siblings. My mom raised the best children and her confidence and trust in us is what makes us who we are.

Not only is my mother amazing, but she has the heart of gold and a genius mind, which both feel and realize everything that we might be going through as her kids. I love the way she has kept my siblings and I so close to each other. I adore the way she gathers us all at least twice a week. Her abilities to recognize our needs and her senses when we are going though something in our lives never fail to amaze me. She is my angel who completes my life and adds joy and happiness to it.

I am writing this to let the world know that I am proud, blessed, and lucky to have the most amazing mother any one can ask for. Everything I do in life, I do it to please my mom and to make her realize that I am who I am because of her. She has taught me to never look down and to keep my head up as long as I am happy with my self and have God in my heart. I can't thank my mom enough for the way she raised me and my siblings. I love my mom more than she could ever imagine and I will always dedicate my life to her because that is the least I can do. May God bless my most gentle mom and keep her safe throughout the days of my life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
