A Letter to My Graduating Seniors As Told by Gifs

Dear Seniors,

I never thought this day would ever come. I never thought you guys would actually be graduating and joining the real world. There will be no more late night gossip conversations, no more late-night shenanigans, no more 1 a.m. In-N-out food runs. What am I supposed to without you all? I know joining the "big girl" world may be scary, but if you guys had to stay in college any longer, I think you all might go crazy. Because living through college once wasn't enough, here is what you all have been through these past four years:

How you felt when you finished taking your last college final ever:

How you felt when you ate your last Sigma Chi crunch wrap ever at Trujillo's:

That feeling you felt when you had to fight a freshman for a class:

That moment you felt your heart drop because you spent $500+ solely on textbooks:

How you felt when you had to pull two all nighters in a row:

That deep hatred you felt for your professor at the end of the year because you didn't even use the textbook once:

That moment when you got to your exam and you realized you had the wrong scantron:

Your reaction when you saw that guy on campus that you hooked up with last night:

How you felt sitting in a three-hour lecture on a Thursday night:

How you felt when you had a pop quiz in class on the readings you didn't do:

Your reaction when you got those emails saying class was cancelled:

Your reaction when you realized your study guide is 30 pages long:

How you felt when you had to decide to spend your last $15 in your bank account on alcohol or food:

How you felt every time you finished a 10-page paper, three assignments, and studied for an exam all in one day:

What you heard every time you couldn't go into your room because your roommate and her friend were "studying:"

How your professor reacted when you walked into class late for the third time that week:

How you felt after driving around for 30 minutes because you couldn't find parking at State:

How you felt after you got back from spring break:

How you felt when that ONE person got a 90 on the exam and messed up the entire curve:

How you felt when you swiped 30 people into Cuic at the end of your freshman year:

How you felt when you gained more than the freshman 15:

Your face when you told your parents you passed all of your classes:

But this was your reaction when you actually managed to pass all of your classes:

Your reaction when anybody tried to talk to you about graduating:

This is how your advisor felt every time you came in to change your major:

How you felt after going out four nights in a row:

How you will feel the night before graduation:

What happened to you while walking up to get your diploma:

Just kidding, but this is how you will feel after you have gotten your diploma:

I will really miss hanging out with you all, but I know you all will be having a lot more fun out in the real world. I hope you all will still come back and get "fratty" and re-live your college days, but until then, stay classy, lovely people!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
