To My Future Child

You're already being prayed for.

The Lord has planned every bit of your life and you are already infinitely loved and prayed for every day.

I pray that your eyes are able to see. See the beauty of God's creation, the light in the dark and the good in the bad.

I pray that your ears are able to hear and are open to listening.

I pray that your mouth is able to speak kindness to everyone that you come across, to sing songs to the Lord and to pray in good times and in times of trouble. To love as God loves and forgive as Jesus forgives.

I pray that your hands are able to create, to write when you're first learning the alphabet, to help and to serve and to be lifted up in praise.

I pray that your legs are able to walk, to run to God, to never give up no matter how weary they may feel and to stand for what is right.

I pray that you know that every hair on your head is counted and worthy and loved. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God.

I pray that when this world brings you down, you look up to Him and allow him to inspire you when you are discouraged.

If you have God, you will not be shaken. For you are made in His image, nothing can defeat or condemn you. He will tame the raging seas and you can rest in Him.

You are loved more than you know, and you always will be. You are a blessing.

Love, your Future Mom.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
