On Wednesday night, the new season of "Big Brother" premiered. If you are anything like me, you have been counting down the days since you heard the premiere date. With four returnees, and exciting newbies this seems like a decent cast in my opinion, and I can't wait to watch them all summer. So after watching two BB episodes and Big Brother After Dark, here are my first impressions:
Bronte D'Acquisto
Bronte has a little bit of a unique voice I'm not going to lie. However, I do think she's a smart player. Like she said in her interview with Jeff, she is great with numbers so she would know how to get who she wants evicted every week.
Paulie Calafiore
Okay I was a huge fan of Cody from BB16 so I also follow Paulie and their sister Angelina on numerous social media networks. It honestly made me mad that no one knew he was Cody's brother. I think it was a smart move for Paulie to tell them that Cody was his brother that way they wouldn't ask why Calafiore is tattooed on his chest or question how honest he is. He seems like a tough competitor though, and the beautiful genes obviously run in the family.
Zakiyah Everette
I think she's been playing a very smart game so far. She hasn't been problematic and she has everyone fooled because they see her as this innocent pre-school teacher. She has a lot of backbone and probably won't be afraid to make a big power move later on.
Glenn Garcia
I'm from New York so I really liked Glenn! I thought he was funny and that he would do well even with the odds against him. He reminded me of my neighbor and I'm really sad he had to go so early. Hopefully there's a chance he can return later in the season.
Natalie Negrotti
My first impression of Natalie was that she didn't know anything about the game and she was just this random girl they found. After watching a couple episodes, I realize that even though she hasn't seen many seasons she knows what she's doing. Last night on "Big Brother After Dark" she proved that because everyone else was going psycho and she just sat there by herself. Letting everyone else self destruct has never proved to be wrong so she could go very far if she plays her cards right.
Victor Arroyo
I think Victor is smarter than he looks. He actually just graduated with a degree in finance so he's definitely smarter than he looks. He's also a great player which he proved in the first competition where he held on longer than anyone else and saved his whole team. Sadly, I think that because he aligned himself with Paul and Jhozea early on, he could be leaving this game early.
Bridgette Dunning
She is so fricken adorable but she doesn't let everyone step all over her. She has aligned herself with Bronte and Natalie which I don't think will work out in her favor. However, I don't think she will have a problem becoming a part of another alliance.
Jozea Flores
He is extremely problematic and I saw it from the start. He's very ignorant and doesn't seem to realize he's on live feeds 24/7. He's on the block this week and I don't have any doubt he will go home. I think he's a nice guy, but his lack of filter sealed his fate in the game.
Tiffany Rousso
So far Tiffany seems to be playing the same game as Vanessa. I think it was very smart of her to keep the secret of being Vanessa's sister because that will put a huge target on her back. She's gradually telling people that she trusts. She's also a math teacher, so she is good with numbers and has really well thought out strategies. It seems like her and Paulie are getting close because they both had siblings in the house. I think this can result in them getting very far in the game.
Corey Brooks
I honestly thought Corey was going to be Clay 2.0 when he first entered the house. They come from the same place, graduated from the same college, and now Corey is getting all showmance-y with Nicole just like Clay did with Shelly. Corey seems like he can hold his own though, and is on good terms with both sides of the house so I think he can get far.
Michelle Meyer
I honestly thought Michelle was going to be a problem this season because she said that she often tells people when they are overweight because she's a nutritionist. However, she really hasn't brought up any nutrition facts to my knowledge except the fact she pointed out how much butter were in Natalie's cookies the other day.
Paul Abrahamian
Paul is the Zack of this season. He has his moments where he's sweet and nice but mostly he's just on 100. This gets on his fellow house guests nerves and will likely send him out of the game early. Maybe he will come up with a cool way to exit like Zack did with "ya fruit loop dingus!"
James Huling
I was so excited when James popped out of that suitcase! He was one of my favorites from last year and made the house super fun. I also loved his pranks and he basically gets along with everyone. However, because the houseguests have seen him last season they probably already know his strategy and that he's a beast player.
Nicole Franzel
I was also excited when Nicole popped out of her suitcase because I was really sad when she left BB16. This is her third time back in the house so I'm hoping that she knows what she's doing this time. She seems to have aligned with vets, Paulie, and Zakiyah so I think she will go really far this time around.
Da'Vonne Rogers
Mama Day is BACK! I can't wait for all her rant diary room sessions honestly. She almost never holds back what she's thinking and that's what I love about her. She got sent home super early last season so I'm hoping she at least makes it a little farther this time.
Frank Eudy
I'm so excited that Frank and James are on the same season. I loved watching him on #BB14. They are both goofballs but also are extremely powerful players. I think I can see a final 2 deal coming and it could get them both far in the game.
