I love reading and I love Christmas, so naturally, I've put together a list of my favorite Christmas-themed books!
1. "A Visit from St. Nicholas" a.k.a "'Twas The Night Before Christmas" by Clement Clarke Moore
Okay, so technically this is a poem. But, there have been many reincarnations of it, including illustrated books. It is a staple at Christmastime and I even own a version where you can record your voice reading the story. (My grandma recorded herself reading it so I can hear her whenever I open the book!)2. "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" by Dr. Seuss
No Christmas can be complete without this classic. Who doesn't love a story about a grumpy, Christmas-hating character that learns to love Christmas, and whose heart grows three times bigger because of the Christmas Spirit?3. "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens
I love a story with a life-lesson. This is a true Christmas classic that warns of the follies of being a "Scrooge." Ghosts, warnings, a grumpy old man, and a small lad by the name of Tim - what could be better than that?4. Hallmark Snowmen Book Series
I love these books. They are told in rhyme and often make puns based on snow and snowmen. They are super cute and the illustrations that accompany them are lovely.5. "Olive, The Other Reindeer" by J. Otto Seibold & Vivian Walsh
Relatable: Misunderstanding lyrics. Not so relatable: Thinking you, (a dog, named Olive), are in fact a reindeer because of the song "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer."Yes, I realize that most of these books are children's books, but hey, you're never too old for the classics. Even if they're marketed toward children.
