We Are Actually Really Cool, I Promise

My family is special, to say the least. I love them to death and would not be who or where I am today without them. But I sometimes wonder if we should get our own reality TV show; we would be very entertaining to watch...especially our family dinners.

This is a glimpse of my family through memes of Despicable Me characters:

1. This was just too funny not to share because it really is so accurate. No offense mother, but if only I could make you truly understand how your iPhone works I really would! Until then...

2. When my parents say to clean my room or do chores around the house, I could just call my little minion to come vacuum or do the dishes for me. Wouldn't that be nice? But it's kind of like, "where is your fairy godmother when you need her"? Unfortunately, only in movies...

3. I am the middle of three girls. I wouldn't say we are exactly like Margo, Edith, and Agnes but I'm thankful to say we are just as close. We have a quote hanging in our house and it says something along the lines of: "Having a sister is like having a best friend around for your whole life."

4. This made me laugh, but it's perfect because we are all HUGE Harry Potter fans.

5. Another thing that I just had to put in here. We, especially me, love dogs...like a lot. This would totally be me if I ever get a small dog. We have a labradoodle right now and I don't know if they makes Halloween dog costumes that big...

6. Whenever you try to get your parents' attention. I think every teenage kid can relate to this. Earth to madre, can I get a tattoo? Earth to daddy, can I get a cellular device? (Actually me when I was eleven).

7. This one is no joke. We, at least my dad, my sisters, and I, are powered by bananas. We would buy several bundles in one week and I remember eating, on average, three bananas a day.

8. There are so many things I could say about this meme... This is really what I'm thinking when I get asked to do a chore (I'm kidding, of course. Don't worry mom and dad).

9. Again, huge Harry Potter fans, immediate and extended family. We have Harry Potter marathons at least once a year. It's a must if you want to keep your fan status. So you're welcome fellow Harry Potter fans for enlightening you on fandom.

10. Through everything, thick or thin, good or bad, the highs and the lows, I still think my family is one in a minion andI wouldn't trade them for the world. I have been blessed beyond measures with a family who loves me for me and has always shown the light of Jesus Christ. I only hope to raise a family with just as much love, wisdom, and strength.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
