One of my favorite quotes from the movie is "Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." Because even though we may have our up's and down's, we always come back together stronger than ever. Family will always be there no matter what, judgement free and full of love.
1. Well for starters, we always fight or bicker.
It’s not always physical, except for my brother and I. We might fight five times a day or never agree on something. Whether it is if I want to change my major or if I want to change to the channel on the TV. We might not always get along, but at the end of the day, we all come together say we are sorry and that we love each other.
2. Sometimes we can be nice too (it just depends on the day).
If you catch us on a good day, we are all so nice to each other (for the most part). We love to tease and pick on each other, though. But that is just what family does. We love to mess with and have fun with each other which is what makes us so interesting. We even hug each other sometimes! It’s crazy, I know.
3. They do the weirdest things you could possibly think of.
We will be in public and I have to walk away and say “I don’t know them.” But then I turn around and wink and join in on whatever insane thing they might be doing or saying. Gotta look on the bright side. You aren’t getting rid of them anytime soon!
4. They make me do things I do NOT want to do.
“Hey I need to run a couple errands, it’ll be quick though I promise.” BIGGEST LIE EVER TOLD. But sometimes, to please your family members, you just have to go along for the ride and do what you gotta do to make them happy because you know they would do the same thing for you!
5. Sometimes I actually wish I had a rabbit instead of a brother.
Just kidding. But it would be nice.
6. But I don’t know what I would do without them.
It’s true I love them with everything I have, and I have no idea what I would ever do without them in my life. All families have their moments and have their quirks, but when it comes down to it, they are your backbone and would do anything in the entire world for you. Having a crazy family isn’t always a bad thing, it almost makes you closer in a way. You know each other too well to know when something is wrong and you need to help each other out. Family is everything.
I love you guys! You may be a little crazy, but I learn from the best! Thank you for everything you guys do for me and each other. You guys are wonderful people inside and out, and I wouldn’t want anybody else to call my family!
