My Childhood Game Is Now Everywhere

I remember playing Pokemon as a small child, and I'm living it in "Pokemon GO."

As everyone knows, "Pokemon GO" is finally available on our smartphones. Now, we can all be the Pokemon trainers that we always dreamed of being. I am reliving my childhood.

My earliest memories of my childhood are of Pokemon. I remember watching Kid's WB to watch "Pokemon." I was so engrossed by the show. I was obsessed with singing the "Gotta Catch 'Em All" song at the end of each episode. I thought the first movie deserved an Oscar.

I still remember the day my dad surprised my brother and I with a Nintendo 64. He bought us a copy of "Pokemon Stadium" because he knew how much we loved the show. We would battle for hours on end, every day. I felt so accomplished being a small child, not even in first grade conqueiring the Gym Leader Castle. We can all admit that we got stuck on Sabrina and her Alakazam for awhile. On a side note, did anyone ever play the Lickitung and lose their minds laughing when Lickitung ate too much spicy food and ran rampant?

Did anyone else play "Pokemon Snap" or "Pokemon Puzzle League?" Those were awesome, too.

Then, in 2001, my parents showed me how much they loved me on Christmas when I received my first handheld Pokemon game: "Pokemon Crystal" version. I remember how I excited I was for my first Pokemon experience. I choose Totodile and began my journey to conquer the Johto region.

As I grew older, more games were released. In third grade I just about crapped my pants when I purchased "Pokemon Sapphire" version. In middle school, I got "Pokemon Diamond" version. After that, I took on the Unova region with "Pokemon White Version" and the Kalos Region with "Pokemon Y" Version. This is when people were all, "You're too old to play Pokemon." Well, look who's talking now!

Now in college, I still buy the newest game. I mean, I went to Gamestop just to pick up my copy of "Alpha Sapphire." Now, we have been blessed by "Pokemon GO."

To start on "Pokemon GO," holy crap. My legs have never looked so good. I find myself roaming my neighborhood at all times of the day trying to catch Pokemon. I just about had a happiness stroke when I found a Seadra in the local lake. I actually screamed to the heavens and people stared, but that's OK. This game is just so fun. I've never seen so many people of all ages and backgrounds go batsh*t for a game. I have seen so many people the past few days just roaming staring at their phones in strange places. I ran into a woman who was at least 50 years old at the local gym. The crazy part was that she was somehow the gym leader, and of course I beat her (rude?)

People are playing this game religiously I love bumping into strangers in my neighborhood and talking about what we caught. Just today at work I freaked out about a Clefairy inside the store. I mean, I'm aimlessly wandering the woods just for this game. It's that fun. I even have internal battles of whether or not I should stop my car to search random areas for new Pokemon.

This game is literally everything. I just wanna say, all of us who liked Pokemon before it was cool to be a trainer are going to be the ones to look out for. #TeamMystic

Pokemon has been such a fun part of my life. My earliest memories are from playing this game. Now, I'm 21 years old, and I'm finally living my childhood dream. Can this get any sweeter?.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
