If your 2017 movie doesn't make this list, I apologize, but you might want to look out for these too.

s2017 is going to be a crazy year for various aspects, specifically the upcoming movies. Just yesterday I was speaking with my father about which movies I am most excited for. Everyone gets excited over this movie or that movie, but this is not their list. The 10 films to follow will be the 10 that I am most excited for. I could honestly make a list of 30 movies I am excited for, however, 10 is a good number for lists. There are so many to choose, it will be harder to select which stay out rather than get in. Ranking from 10 to 1, here we go.

10. "God Particle"

There are few details known about this movie. Scheduled to release in October, this science fiction blockbuster is the third film in the Cloverfield anthology series. Some stars are rumored for the cast, but the crew has found its leader in Julius Onah, a small movie director. As science fiction being my favorite genre, I cannot wait for more detail on this Fall thriller. Bad Robot, JJ Abrams production company, will soon announce more specifics.

9. "Life"

Two of my favorite actors (Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal) in a science fiction movie about a space crew finding life on Mars. What's not to freak out about? I love aliens, I love Mars, and I love movies that come out on my brother's birthday.

8. "SpiderMan: Homecoming"

When I was a kid, I thought SpiderMan was the best superhero, now, I love comics in general and think all heroes are cool. I personally very much enjoyed Andrew Garfield in the Amazing series, but I was ecstatic when I first read about Sony and Marvel Studios deal to restart. Tom Holland, new Peter Parker, already has my heart for the character, however, Marisa Tomei may be a little too young for Aunt May. This is the beginning of a new series for SpiderMan, details are spared for the villains in the upcoming summer hit, but I guarantee it's going to be one heck of a ride.

7. "Logan"

The final Hugh Jackman portrayal of Logan Howlett (Wolverine). This film fits in somewhere with the current X-Men series, but the movie is a little of a standalone. Set in the future, most mutants are now gone and the Wolverine knows why. Professor X finds Logan and brings along a girl with the same powers as Logan himself. The emotional roller coaster that this movie will entail is guaranteed an adventure.

6. "Power Rangers"

Returning from my childhood, "Power Rangers" is set to also come out on my brother's birthday. Starring Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks, the story follows five teenagers who are given powers to protect the Earth from evil. I watched the trailer probably 5 times within the first 12 hours of it being released. Easily one of my most anticipated movies of 2017 that most people I know probably aren't.

5. "Split"

M. Night is back with what looks to be like one of the craziest thrillers of the year. James McAvoy plays a character with split personalities, 23 to be exact. One of the main personalities has an agenda of its own. 'The Beast' is coming, and the audience is patiently waiting.

4. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2"

The sequel to my favorite Marvel Studios movie is coming in May of 2017. Another movie on the list with details not known, I can tell you this movie will be great. James Gunn is amazing at leading Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Kurt Russell, and Michael Rooker in a purely fun comic book movie.

3. "Blade Runner 2049"

I watched "Blade Runner" for the first time this past summer. I don't know what was better, Rutger Hauer or the music by Vangelis. 2049 is being directed by Denis Villenueve (Sicario and Arrival). The teaser came out two weeks ago for 2049 and I immediately came back to that feeling of Deckard on the roof in the rain. I truly cannot wait to see Gosling take on the role of Officer K tracking down Harrison Ford.

2. "Alien: Covenant"

I watched "Alien", uncut, when I was 15 in preparation for "Prometheus". As someone that doesn't get scared easily, Ridley Scott's 1979 thriller definitely did a number on me. Scott is very good at making intense scenes breathe reality. The 2012 prequel, as mentioned above, did not have the same feel of the original, it was a different story, and had a completely different style, to be honest. But, looking at the poster above, I know Covenant will return to the original Xenomorph horror I enjoy. Just realize the only thing than the release date and head of an alien is the word run.

Honorable Mention - "Star Wars VIII"

With no confirmed title, I am very excited about the next Star Wars film. Rian Johnson ( Looper ), writer and director, is going to take a darker and grittier take on the series with the next episode. The story follows the returning character Rey as she embarks with Luke Skywalker on an adventure to learn more of the Jedi way.

1. "Dunkirk"

Christopher Nolan. Enough said.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
