1."Breakfast at Tiffany's"
Do I even need to explain this one? You have Audrey Hepburn, the greatest actress of her generation (in my opinion), George Peppard and let's not forget Cat. There is a reason that my niece calls this "the movie with the princess." It's a classic that should be seen by all. Let's not forget it makes a perfect stay-in date night movie.
2."Casablanca"
Let's just give this movie a slow clap for all of its extremely quotable lines. Humphrey Bogart (whom I also consider to be the greatest actor of his generation) and Ingrid Bergman shine in this classic. Their chemistry is so strong, you can feel it through the screen. Trust me, this movie is a must-see.
3."Sabrina"
This 1954 classic is my favorite, if I was forced to pick one, of course. Picking my favorite classic movie is like picking your favorite child. This movie brings together Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden. The best part is that this movie will leave you guessing about the ending the entire time. Just when you think you have it figured out, they throw in a plot twist. This movie is so amazing that I swore it was in color. For those of you who do not like black and white, this movie might just change your mind.
4."The Maltese Falcon"
This crime and mystery drama, released in 1941, stars Humphrey Bogart and Mary Astor. It is the perfect film for when your boyfriend gets to pick the movie. I mean come on, you get to spend the whole time staring at Bogart's perfect face. What could be better?
5."My Fair Lady"
This 1964 classic is so perfect, it is the thing of Blair Waldorf's dreams. Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison take you on a whirlwind transformation that will also keep you on your toes until the end. This picture is in Technicolor for anyone who refuses to watch black and white. (FYI, if this is you, just know I am disappointed in you.)
6."Roman Holiday"
Another amazing Audrey Hepburn film with Gregory Peck as the leading man. Anyone noticing a theme here? There is a reason that Hepburn is my idea of the best actress of her time. This 1953 film is more than meets the eye. It is 118 minutes of romantic perfection.
7."How to Steal a Million"
In this 1966 film, Peter O'Toole and Audrey Hepburn plan the perfect heist. It is funny and captivating. This film was produced in color. Follow along and try to figure out the ending of this crime and comedy film.
8."Funny Face"
Surprise, surprise—Audrey Hepburn is back in this 1957 film. This time, her leading man is none other than Fred Astaire. Watch Hepburn transform in front of your eyes after Fred Astaire discovers her hidden beauty. This color film is available in both English and French.
9."An Affair to Remember"
This 1957 film starts the oh-so perfect Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. This romantic drama has more plot twists than you can imagine. Watch if you dare, because you might not like what you find.
10."The Swan"
Of course we cannot leave out the beautiful Grace Kelly. She stars in the 1956 classic along with Alec Guinness and Louis Jourdan. Once again, watch if you dare. This film left my sister and I screaming at the TV. It is also in color which allows you to really enjoy the royal fashion portrayed in the film.
