Retronaut Snapshots

1: Cee Lo Green - CeeLo's Magic Moment (2012)

This is one of my absolute favorite Christmas albums, because of Cee Lo's natural approach to each and every song. There's even a guest spot by the Muppets, but the whole album is amazing. It has this fun vibe to it, and I've always loved it from when I first heard it.

2: Ringo Starr - I Wanna Be Santa Claus (1999)

This is an automatic favorite because it's Ringo, and he's wonderful!! That's all.

3: Bad Religion - Christmas Songs (2013)

This is one of the most rad Christmas releases ever, and it just flies by every time you listen to it. Seriously awesome versions of here.

4: Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass - Christmas Album (1968)

Here is our traditional Christmas day album!! Every year on Christmas morning, we wake up to the wonderful sounds of this album, as the start of our holiday, and it's wonderful every time.

5: Cyndi Lauper - Merry Christmas...Have A Nice Life (1998)

This is a really interesting because it's a good blend of heartfelt, fun Christmas tunes, which is really Cyndi Lauper in a nutshell. That being said, she aced it.

6: Various Artists - Verve Remixed Christmas! (2008)

This is another cool one because it's all the older Christmas tunes being remixed by this generation and they sound awesome!!

7: Gwen Stefani - You Make It Feel Like Christmas (2017)

This is one of the newest albums on this list, but it's honestly wonderful to see these universes collide.

9: Squirrel Nut Zippers - Christmas Caravan (1998)

This also goes on the Christmas day list, and it's marvelous. Indian Giver is one of the best!!

10: Sia - Every day Is Christmas

This album is marvelous and wonderfully original. The arrangements are amazing.

So, this ended up being my memories and recollections for these albums, but I assure you they are all great listens and perfect ways to get into the holiday spirit!!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
