India is a culturally rich and diverse country. There are 22 official languages in India, each with different dialects. There are also many kinds of foods, excellent weather, and many interesting attractions. However if you ever plan a trip to India, no trip is complete without visiting India's financial capital, Mumbai.
Mumbai is an island located in the state of Maharashtra, which is located in the west of India. Accessible to the rest of India by the Indin Railways and the rest of the world by Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai attracts tourists every year with cultural attractions, excellent food options and amazing weather. It is connected by a three line railway system of suburban local trains that often crowd to the point where people are riding on top of the train.
Mumbai has many excellent tourist locations. The gateway of India is an excellent hangout spot. Just walk a few miles and you can see an entire city with its lights on, an amazing sight indeed. There is also an excellent Gandhi museum called Mani Bhavan that accurately depicts the lifetime of Gandhi. You can also find a bridge in midtown Mumbai called the Worli Sealink which gives a beautiful view of the sea as well as an excellent boat ride which goes to elephant caves. There are also many food options such as pani puri (shells filled with a spicy and sweet filling), vada pav (a savory donut inside a piece of bread) and Indian style tea. And there are also many excellent restaurants such as Cafe Excelsior, Soam and K3 sweets; all restaurants are accommodating and will offer vegetarian options.
