Classes have begun and parties are a weekly occurrence.
For freshmen, this could be a scary time. They don't know where their classes are or what parties they're allowed to go to. But for sophomores, juniors and seniors, this is just another great year about to unfold. There's so much to look forward to: a new class schedule, new school supplies, themed parties, nightlife, club meetings and more.
I'm confident that this year is going to be the best one yet. As a junior, I'm halfway through the greatest four years of my life. Getting involved with things that I'm passionate about, such as the dance marathon, have only furthered my love for this school. Coming to Indiana from Texas was such a journey for me. When I was a freshman, I had no idea what I should have been involved with or why I was even living in Indiana for four years.
However during my sophomore year, I joined clubs and finally felt like I was apart of the social atmosphere here on campus. This year, I'm anxious to see what happens as a junior. Naturally, I feel very settled now compared to how I felt a mere two years ago. I have become more aware of the challenges that lay ahead of me, specifically those that are academic.
Now that we've moved into our dorms, apartments, houses and Greek houses, it's time to experience another incredible year and make some more memories. We all want to find our place at IU and in Bloomington, so let's be as successful as we can be and truly enjoy the rest of our time here. Here's to another awesome year ahead!
