Movies I've Watched Repeatedly Without Getting Bored

Watching movies is a great way to spend a lazy Sunday or to kill a couple hours before class. My biggest fault, though, is rather than finding a new movie to watch I will crouch in front of the bookshelf that holds all my movies and pick out one I’ve seen multiple times. Either that or I’ll go to the same movies on Netflix because they hold near and dear to my heart. The following is a list of movies that I love and that I think you should watch.

27 Dresses

Starring James Marsden and Katherine Heigl 27 Dresses is my go-to romantic comedy. This was perhaps the first chick flick I made my fiancé watch with me. Everything about this movie makes me laugh or cry or be overwhelmed with happiness. It was also the first James Marsden movie that made me develop a huge crush. But what is the movie about? It’s a movie that follows along the quote “always a bridesmaid, never a bride”. I don’t want to spoil it so I refuse to tell you anymore about it.

Who Do I Think Should Watch This? : Anyone looking for a good romantic comedy for a date night with their significant other or for a girls’ night in with friends!

The Invisible

I’ll be honest. I went to see this movie in theaters with my dad because I had a crush on the lead actor. Justin Chatwin had caught my eye when he played Robby in War of the Worlds and it meant that I was following his every move for a while. However, The Invisible turned out to be one of my all-time favorite movies. This movie follows the character Nick and his journey to convince a “thug” girl Annie to confess the crime she had committed.

Who Do I Think Should Watch This? : Absolutely everyone.

Juno

If you haven't seen Juno, you are missing out. This is a great movie that tackles teenage pregnancy and the ups and downs that come along with it. This movie is funny and emotional. Ellen Page and Michael Cera have an amazing on-screen chemistry that blew me away.

Who Do I Think Should Watch This? : Anyone looking for an emotional, but also very funny movie. Probably not suitable for younger kids as there is a lot of swearing.

Red Riding Hood

This is somewhat of a horror movie. It's not scary so much as it keeps ou guessing right until the end. This film stars Amanda Seyfried, Billy Burke and Shiloh Fernandez. This follows the storyline of Little Red Riding Hood with some twists. Shiloh Fernandez is one of my all-time favorite actors so this movie was a real treat to me. This movie also boasts a romantic storyline intertwined with the horror aspect. A perfect combination for me!

Who Do I Think Should Watch This? : Anyone who likes horror/suspense movies!

Teenage Dirtbag

I first rented this movie at Movie Gallery when that was still a thing. I absolutely loved it, but could never find it anywhere so that I could own a copy of it. However, Netflix finally put it on and I watched it again and again. This movie follows the stereotypical popular girl who has good grades and football player boyfriend. Enter the proclaimed "bad boy" with a shitty home life. We follow their lives as they merge together throughout high school and after. This is perhaps my favorite movie! Sadly, Netflix removed the film from instant streaming and I haven't watched it in a long time.

Who Do I Think Should Watch This? : I'm not sure if I can place a certain type of person to watch this movie. It's a drama with heightened emotions throughout. Probably best for young adults.

Keith

When I say Keith, I am talking about the one with Jesse McCartney in it. This movie has been on Netflix Instant for a very long time and I hope it is there forever. This movie broke my heart. I cry every time I watch it despite knowing exactly what happens. If you watch this, be prepared with tissues. I can't really explain this movie much except that it takes place in high school and it's somewhat of a romance movie.

Who Do I Think Should Watch This? : Anyone looking for a good cry.

He’s Just Not That Into You

This is one of those movies where there are several different storylines happening all at once that somehow eventually come together in the end. This is a straight-up romantic comedy. It may make you cry at times and it may not. It features Justin Long, Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper, Ben Affleck and so much more!

Who Do I Think Should Watch This? : Anyone looking for a good romcom.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
