"Elf"
Is there anything or anyone better than Will Ferrell? That's right, I didn't think so. If you haven't already seen this movie, I have no idea what you're doing with your life. Seriously. It is one of the greatest Christmas movies ever made. Just ask some of these people that Will Ferrell yelled at.
"A Christmas Story"
This movie is a classic; you just can't go wrong. Alfie reminds us all what it's like to be young around the holidays and the worst things that come along with them. The kid just can't get it together, and it's absolutely wonderful.
"The Holiday"
Do you like Jude Law, Jack Black, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Winslet combined with romance and the holiday spirit? Of course you do! This movie is about two women (Kate and Cameron) that exchange homes for the holiday season after some terrible luck in love befalls them both. One heads to a cozy little cabin in England, and the other heads off to a modern mansion in L.A..
"Love, Actually"
You might as well just watch this movie to see Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) pre-zombie apocalypse. This movie has every amazing British actor staring in it (including Severus Snape). This movie is so incredibly funny and wonderfully romantic at the same time, with just a touch of a Christmas vibe (if you're not looking for something too overwhelmingly festive).
"Home Alone"
This kid gets left alone by his, in my humble opinion, dead-beat parents when they head off on vacation for Christmas. I feel like this is a movie more for kids because it allows every kids to live vicariously through the main character that gets left alone and can do whatever he wants.
"The Grinch"
If I'm being honest, this movie used to terrify my when I was younger. Now that I'm older and I know the Grinch is played by Jim Carrey, I find it hilarious. Not only is this movie funny, but it also reminds us that Christmas is all about loving one another and spreading Christmas cheer.
