Finals are fastly approaching, but so is Christmas. Therefore, prime Christmas movie-watching time is during finals! It’s always good to unwind and end the day with a nice Christmas movie. (And it’s prime time for procrastinating). These movies are great in general, but they are especially good for when you just need a break from the books.
1. Elf
When you’re feeling like a cotton-headed-ninny-muggin from all of that studying- ELF is a great place to start. For starters, it has Will Ferrell. Secondly, it’s one of the funniest movies of all time. Who doesn’t love a good story about a grown man living among elves who is then introduced to the real world (NYC)?! Truly a Christmas classic, and a finals procrastination classic.
2. Love Actually
Love Actually is a great movie, although sad at some parts. This movie is definitely geared towards people who like rom-coms. The film follows the lives of 10 different groups of characters. In the end, it is a very uplifting movie and definitely considered a classic.
3. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
10/10 would recommend this if you’re looking for a good laugh. There are so many iconic jokes in this movie. Christmas Vacation definitely beats all of the other National Lampoon movies. You will probably find yourself cracking up at this movie the whole time you’re watching it. And hopefully for an hour and a half you can forget about all of that studying you have to get done…
4. Christmas With The Kranks
This movie is pretty under-appreciated. You can find it on Netflix, and it’s very hilarious. If it’s a Christmas movie with Tim Allen in it, I think we can all conclude that it’s going to be funny.
5. The Santa Clause (one-three)
You probably enjoyed watching this movie when you were 12, but it is still great. One Christmas movie is great, but there’s three of these! Once again, it has Tim Allen.
6. It's A Wonderful Life
This one is a classic, so it deserves some kind of shoutout. A little sad, but still a great movie to watch. Plus it’s pretty long… so that means a pretty long break from all of your studying! Maybe by the time it ends, you’ll be ready to study again…
