As the weather gets colder and the snows falls, it is common to find yourself stuck inside going stir crazy. You have already exhausted all the movies and board games you own, you actually cleaned your room for once and not even Netflix can keep you entertained anymore. You find yourself missing the sun and warm weather, reminiscing on the days you could come and go from the house as you pleased, in whatever you pleased. If you have to stay in your house one more day you just might explode, but luckily for you I have the perfect solution. I presented you a list of movies coming out this holiday season that can help fill some time of those cold winter days.
1. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2"
Realizing the stakes are no longer just for survival, Katniss Everdeen teams up with her closest friends, including Peeta, Gale and Finnick, for the ultimate mission. Together, they leave District 13 to liberate the citizens of war-torn Panem and assassinate President Snow, who's obsessed with destroying Katniss. What lies ahead are mortal traps, dangerous enemies and moral choices that will ultimately determine the future of millions. 2. "The Good Dinosaur"
"The Good Dinosaur" asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of. Release date: November 25th, 2015.
3. "The Night Before"
From Jonathan Levine, the acclaimed director of 50/50, comes the new comedy "The Night Before." Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been friends since childhood, and for a decade, their yearly Christmas Eve reunion has been an annual night of debauchery and hilarity. Now that they’re entering adulthood, the tradition is coming to an end, and to make it as memorable as possible, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties. 4. "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip"
Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in Miami…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother. Release date: December 18th, 2015.
5. "Sisters"
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunite for "Sisters", a new film from Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore, about two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch of ground-down adults really need. Release date: December 17th, 2015.
6."Star Wars: The Force Awakens"
Thirty years after defeating the Galactic Empire, Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and his allies face a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and his army of Stormtroopers. Release date: December 18th, 2015.
7. "Daddy's Home"
“Daddy's Home” follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids. Release date: December 24th, 2015.
8. "Concussion"
Will Smith stars in a dramatic thriller based on the incredible true David vs. Goliath story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, the brilliant forensic neuropathologist who made the first discovery of CTE, a football-related brain trauma, in a pro player. Release date: December 24th, 2015.
9. "Victor Frankenstein"
James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe star in a dynamic and thrilling twist on a legendary tale. Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. 10. "In the Heart of the Sea"
In 1820, crewmen (Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy) aboard the New England vessel Essex face a harrowing battle for survival when a whale of mammoth size and strength attacks with force, crippling their ship and leaving them adrift in the ocean. Pushed to their limits and facing storms, starvation, panic and despair, the survivors must resort to the unthinkable to stay alive. Their incredible tale ultimately inspires author Herman Melville to write "Moby-Dick." Release date: December 11th, 2015.
