For most students school has been online for a week or more now. With classes moving to online platforms, it is harder to find the motivation to complete your work. Even though classes are online, it is still important to prioritize your studies and get your work done. So if you are struggling right now, here are some tips to help you remain productive for the remainder of the semester.

1. Set aside time for each of your classes.

Now that all classes are online, you might not be required to attend your classes at the same time each day unless your teacher is hosting zoom classes. Although you don't have to wake up at your usually scheduled class time anymore, you should still set aside a certain time each day for your classes. This will give you time to work on your classes without distractions and ensure you are getting your assignments done.

2. Make a to-do list.

To-do lists are another great way to make sure you're staying productive. Try to make a to-do list before you go to bed for the next day. When you wake up, you'll be able to look at your to-do list and remember everything you have to do. As you start marking items off your to-do list, you'll feel more productive.

3. Get dressed.

Getting dressed in the morning is one of the easiest ways to helping me feel more productive. Since it's likely you are not going anywhere, your outfit doesn't need to be super cute or even fancy. Getting dressed just helps me to feel like I am ready to start my day.

4. Create a study space.

Depending on where you are, you might already have a predesignated study space. Coming back home from college, I did not have a study space so i opted to make a small little space in my room. This space is an area where I can work on my assignments, and then can keep my work there when I am finished. Plus, it's distraction-free.

5. Reward yourself for finishing your work.

Getting all your work done can be hard so make sure you reward yourself when you complete tasks. This can be different for everyone. I like to give myself a break to watch a set amount of a TV show after I finish what I am working on. This helps to break up your work you're doing while maintaining a little fun.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
