If you're like me, you definitely forgot about Mother's Day. Don't fret! Here are some quick and easy gifts you can make or buy the day before or day of.

A Spa Day Gift Card

What does your mom deserve more than having the chance to relax? Literally nothing. Many spas have various day packages that you can choose from, and they don't always have to break the bank. By getting your mother a spa day, she'll have a chance to unwind and get away from the stress of being the best mom ever.

Manicure/Pedicure in a Jar

Get a jar. Get some nail polish. Get some lotion. Get a wine cooler. Put them all together and create an at-home nail station.

DIY Picture frame

Find a nice picture frame at Walmart and buy some decorations. You can paint it, put on some glitter, find some stickers, or decorate it another way. If you want to spend time together, buy two and make time to complete them.

A Succulent

These are great because they do not require much care but can bring so much joy and comfort to space. Any plants make great decorations, and you can customize the pot to make it personal!

A Playlist

Whether it includes her favorite songs or just songs that make you think of her, creating a playlist is a great way to show that you know her taste and want to connect with her.

Movie or Concert Tickets

Mom's don't just have to be celebrated on Mother's Day! Get her tickets to something local that she would enjoy. If you can, get yourself a ticket to and go with her, or just buy an extra one so she can bring a friend.

A Gift Card

This may seem generic, but sometimes gift cards are the best! If your mom is someone who already has everything, getting them a gift card to a place you know they love is super helpful! This way she can get what she wants, when she wants it, no matter when it is.

Your Art

If you love to create, make something unique for her! Even if you're not that good at art, she's your mom so she'll probably love it anyway. Or, you could dig up some old art you made from preschool and frame it, so she has it in a special place.

Go and Visit

If you live far enough a way that you don't see your mother all that often, take some time out this weekend and go see her! She works hard to give you love and cherish you, the least you could do is take the time to visit.

Flowers

This is a gift that you can do online on the day of. Flowers are often delivered right to someone's doorstep, or you can deliver them yourself. It's a good reminder that you are thinking of her, and will make a beautiful decoration for her home.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
