While in college, we all have plenty of new experiences, make a ton of new friends, we learn a little, but most importantly we gain skills that will get us through life -- lots of them. These skills are very valuable because they will help us land that dream job and get us through life, but what about the skills that won't do that? Like I said, there are a ton of things we learn in college, but how many of things will stick with us as more than memories after we walk across the stage and start the rest of our lives? One in particular is pomping. Luckily, I avoided this like the plague this semester.
The timeless skill of pomping...its a love-hate relationship. Anyone in a frat or sorority can tell you that the hours of doing this will turn you into a pro, but how do you use this new skill of poking paper through chicken wire covered in glue after the homecoming days are over? You don't. Unless you become the star of the PTA and help your future kids with their homecoming endeavors and parades.
