Being in the mosh pit sounds like it would be an amazing experience, but it also doesn't sound appealing when you realize that you have to fight numerous people in order to get to the very front. I've always wanted to experience it, but the tickets aren't at all cheap considering that you're close enough to physically touch the artist. With all of the concerts I've attended, they've cost $500 and up, which is somewhat understandable when you look at how famous the artist is (i.e One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer).
However, it only cost me $5.00 for my first mosh pit experience.
Yes, you read it correctly. Blue Devil Productions had invited the band Bowling For Soup for their college tour and tickets were more than affordable for us poor college students. The event was standing room only, so that was part of the reason as to why I had gotten to be next to the stage. My friends and I had arrived early, so we were close to start out with.
Unlike the crazy fans you see at One Direction or 5SOS concerts, nobody was fighting to get to the very front. With a little patience, I had worked my way up to spend half of the concert right next to the stage, just to the side of Erik Chandler.
It was a pretty amazing experience to be that close to the band. I thought that I could feel the loudness of the music in my heart before, but when I was up there, it was as though my head was Gary Wiseman's drums when I touched the stage. It was almost therapeutic to literally feel the music run through me and I hope that it happens again one day.
