Every other day, I find myself speed walking through the quad to get to my 8:30 am class. We all do it, and I refuse to believe there are people out there who aren’t late to class sometimes.
Here are some of the struggles that come with an early schedule in college.
- You probably have to skip breakfast and snack on something quietly to control the stomach growling in class.
- You hardly ever wake up after hearing your first alarm. The snooze button understands you on an emotional level.
- Bed head and the occasional morning breath motivate you to lay low during lectures.
- You probably won’t be able to read the notes you took during class because you were too tired to make them anything but sloppy.
- And the walk back to your dorm for a nap after an early class is the most satisfying part of your day.
While it is certainly ideal to wake up on time, I think I’ll be hitting the snooze button for a while.
