College can be very busy between clubs, organizations, classes, friends, and family.

Some people are able to work jobs with school though, but not everyone chooses to do that or is able to.

We all have heard the jokes about how broke college kids are so they just sit in their room eating ramen, but for the most part it is very true. So how do you make money in college among all the other things that you have on your plate?

Well here are 7 ways to make money in college without having to sell a kidney.

1. Tutoring

Tutoring with your school or on your own is fairly easy if there is a subject you feel confident enough to help people in.

Simply make some flyers and online posts advertising your service and people are sure to come your way for help. This is a great way to make some extra cash and actually help people out!

2. Babysitting

Babysitting or being a nany is a good way to get cash quick.

As long as you are comfortable being around kids and feel you are fit for the job, then try babysitting out. Plus yo can get consistent clients sometimes and build up your client base.

Make sure that you are actually qualified to watch the kids though because you need to be ready to help the kids in case of an emergency.

Plus there are apps that help you find babysitting jobs these days so there is always a way to find someone to babysit!

3. Dog walking

You can either start dog walking by yourself or even download an app like Rover or Wag if you live in a big city.

If you are an animal lover and think you can handle taking care of people's pets then give this a try because there are tons of people who want their pet to be taken care of while they are working during the day or on trips over the weekend.

This allows you to make your own schedule and you get to pet some furry friends!

4. Start an online business

If you are crafty or good at making something then an online store on something like Etsy is a great idea!

It can allow you to do something you love and to get some money for it.

5. Sell your cloths online

If you download an app like Curtsy, Poshmark, or Mercari you can sell cloths and even other items.

Of course they take a percentage of what is earned, but for stuff you are not even using anymore it is a good way to make some extra cash.

If that doesn't seem to be working for you then you can always sell them back to places that take used cloths for a small profit.

6. Music lessons

If you are good at an instrument or singing then teaching others with private lessons is a great way to make money!

Just build up a client base through ads online and you are sure to be booked in no time.

7. Read essays

If you are good at editing and writing you can help high school students with their college admission essays.

There is always a demand for this and if you have previous writing experience (like Odyssey maybe) then this is a great way to make money.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
