A mother doesn’t let you know she loves you just by telling you. She shows you all her love in everything she does. There’s love when she does your day old dishes, fills your gas tank unexpectedly, and when she does your laundry from three weeks ago knowing you haven’t had the chance to do it yourself. There’s love when she helps you pack the car for your long day out, when she buys your favorite treats at the grocery store, and when she brings your backpack and books upstairs to your room for you. She lets you know that she loves you when she offers to drive somewhere so you can close your eyes and relax or run an errand for you.
Her love is never ending and even when you forget to take the garbage out, walk the dogs or clean your dishes, she will always love you.
A mother shows her love when she listens to you talk about your day instead of talking about how her day went. She shows her love when she slides her advice into a conversation when you talk about the future or relationships with others. Her love comes through with the way she softly says “Good morning” and when she stops by your room on her way to bed knowing that you will be up late finishing the work that you have to do or just to shut your light off for you as your weary eyes struggle to stay awake.
A mother's love is unwavering- it never fails. Day in and day out no matter what you do she will always be there for you. You may have gone days without saying thank you to her for picking up the slack but there she is again helping you just because she loves you.
It's the way she ignores your messy room but comes running when she sees you've got too much on your plate. It's the way she lets you make your own decisions but is always there to pick up the pieces. It's the way she cheers you on each and every day that shows you how much she loves you.
