With the craziness of life, sometimes we forget to sit down and take the time to tell our moms just how much we care about them. We all know how awesome our moms are. They are the first people in this world that show us what love is. I know how freaking amazing my mom is, but for whatever reason, I don’t tell her as much as I should.
So Mom—this one’s for you.
My mom is the most selfless person I know. I have never seen her buy one single thing for herself. She invests every dollar she earns and every second she has in her children. She has given me every opportunity I have ever wanted without asking for anything in return. She is funny without every being mean.
She stays up to make sure I get home, and doesn’t hate me when I call her in the middle of the night for a ride. She is caring without being too nosy. She is supportive, but tells me when my ideas are unrealistic. She is protective, but gives me just enough freedom to make my own decisions, and with that my own mistakes. She is the the most hardworking person I know, but always leaves time for her family. She is a beautiful person both inside and out. Oh, and not to mention she is an amazing cook. My mom is perfect.
Abraham Lincoln said, “All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother”.
Mom—you taught me how to be strong, clever, hopeful, and brave. Sometimes I forget to tell you just how much I care. But know I appreciate you more than I can ever articulate. Everything you do, no matter how big or small, does not go unnoticed. If one day I can only be half the mother that you are, I will be satisfied. Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on or friend to laugh with, at any second of everyday. You are my best friend. So since I don’t remind you as often as I should.
Mom, you are awesome.
