Learn To Realize That Every Moment Matters

"Life Changes" - Thomas Rhett

Learn To Realize That Every Moment Matters

At times, we go through life day by day not taking into consideration our experiences, the people we meet, relationships we form, and daily occurrences. We as humans tend to take life for granted. We take what we are given and sometimes abuse the privileges and people that come into our lives. It is time to stop and think about everything you have been given this year, including the people you met and the puppies you have pet, as it is approaching that time to be extra thankful for life and all it has to offer.

No matter who it is or what happens, every person or thing leaves an impact on your life. Maybe the way you think about something changes, the way you act, the way you say something, even the way you feel about certain things.

This month is a time to "give thanks" to those that have impacted you. There is a holiday between Halloween and Christmas that people seem to be disregarding. I mean who is not appreciative of an entire day of eating? Let me know. Thanksgiving is so much more than just a day of food. It is a day to gather with your friends and family, reminisce on the good times, and be thankful for every moment you are here.

So much sadness has crossed my life from different areas, but we all have to look at the positives of each situation. It is cliche, but I always tell people to look toward the good no matter the situation. It is hard to do so of something so tragic, but you have to believe that good will come from whatever is or has happened.

Remember what this months is truly about while you are drinking from your holiday Starbucks cup and blasting Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas." As my dad always says, (while I roll my eyes) "be thankful for what you have." Appreciate the little things that we seem to forget about. Stop and think who and what are impacting you and how.

I have been shown a greater appreciation for life as someone so close to me is fighting the one thing I could have never imagined happening to anyone I know and love. I have been shown a greater appreciation for life as the life young woman my age, so close to numerous people I know, was taken. Everyday and every person is a blessing and a lesson.

I am thankful for those that have crossed my life, have taught me valuable lessons, and have given me things that I tend to take for granted.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
