Moms, they are one of the best gifts in life. They have all this love, wisdom, and patience. They are basically wonder women. My mom is my best friend, and she has been my best friend since my freshman year of high school. Mom, if you're reading this, this is for you.

1. She is always there for me.

My mother has been there for me through everything. If I am mad, sad, happy, or all of the above, she will listen for at least an hour. She always has a solution and believes in me more than I believe in myself and more than anyone in this world believes in me. She is my rock and just gets me.

2. She is super cool.

I can talk to my mom about boys, going out, and having a good time, and she always reminds me to be safe but have a good time. I go out with her all the time and not embarrassed to be out with her and introduce people to my amazing mom. She has a snapchat and a bitmoji, how much cooler can she get?

3. My friends love her more than they love me.

When me and my friends are home from college or if my mom is visiting, everyone is like "omg, I can't wait to see your mom, I love your mom, tell your mom I say hi, omg she is basically my mom." My mom is everyone's favorite attraction and I can't blame them, she is pretty awesome.

4. She is literally Lorelai Gilmore.

My mother is the Lorelai Gilmore to my Rory Gilmore, if only she named me Odalys and people called me Ody. My mom and I do pretty much everything together. We go on girls trips together, eat together, shop together, college orientation, and we laugh and cry together. If I am upset, my mom orders me a bunch of food and we sit and a watch a movie together.

5. She has more love in her than anyone I have ever met.

My mother is one woman who has love that can change this world. My mother is wonder woman, she loves so much and does everything. I can mess up so badly and she will still love me and tell me it is okay.

Mom, thank you for everything. Thank you for inspiring to be an amazing woman and change the world. Thanks for loving me and everyone around you. I am so lucky that life gave me you as a mother.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
