Dear Mom and Dad,
Honestly, I could never thank the both of you enough for everything that you do for me. You gave me life and have literally shaped me into the person that I am today. Without your help, support, and love, I really have no idea where I would be.
Dad: most of all, thank - you for being a true man of God. You’ve taught me what it’s like to be a true Christian and I thank Him every day for that. You have always worked extremely hard every single day of my life to provide the best life for me, my brother and Mom and I don’t think that you realize how much that has done for us. You should be more proud of yourself because you have accomplished so much. You are always pushing me to do more with my life and to never settle, and you are one of the reasons that I know exactly what I want in my future husband.
Mom: I am so thankful that you have become my best friend throughout the years. Even through my angry and bitter teenage years, you never gave up on me, so thank - you for that. You have become such a strong woman of God and I have loved seeing your journey in Christ. It’s inspired me more than you know. I will forever be thankful to you for giving up your job to stay home with me and my brother to raise us in the best way possible.
To be completely honest, I have no idea how the two of you have put up with me for the past 20 years, because I know it’s probably been really difficult. However, I’m glad that you didn’t let me get away with everything, taught me how to apologize and let me be my own person. It’s really made me into the person that I am today. I could also never, ever, ever thank you enough for paying for my college education. I don’t think that I would be going to college without that, and I really hope that one day I can provide for you guys as much as you’ve provided for me and my brother.
Thank you for showing me what true love is. Not too many people these days can say that their parents have been married for almost 23 years, but I can. You have also always worked together to raise your family (and the many dogs that we have had). You’ve done everything to give us the best life. I love you guys!
Love,
Your favorite (and only) daughter
