Netflix, bars, sleep, repeat. College sometimes seems like a juggling act between going out and binge-watching your favorite Netflix shows. Here is a list of all your favorite TV shows characters as Mizzou bars.
1. Harpo's would be Nathan from "One Tree Hill"
Sometimes you hate him (like when you get denied or when the bathroom line takes an hour), sometimes he surprises you with how smart he is (like on trivia night), but mostly he is just a good time. Plus, Harpo's would be a great place to watch a "Tree Hill" Ravens game.
2. Big 12 would be Jim Halpert from "The Office"
They may seem like your average bar, or paper salesman, but you keep going back. You can't help but love them both even though you can't really explain why. Maybe it's the dollar burger and fries (or pranks on Dwight and obsession with Pam).
3. Quinton's Bar and Deli would be Cristina Yang from "Grey's Anatomy"
No one wanted to see her go, just like no one wants to see Quinton's leave Columbia, Missouri. We still have hope they will both return at some point. Until then, goodbye to bottomless mimosas and the most dedicated surgeon you will ever meet.
4. Roxy's would be Tom Haverford from "Parks and Recreation"
They both try to be a little classier than they are (like with $10 champagne bottles), but they are still always a fun time. This bar basically screams Snakehole Lounge.
5. 10 Below would be Meredith Palmer from "The Office"
Basically everyone is already drunk before they even step into 10 Below, just like Meredith Palmer is all the time. Yes, they are both a hot mess, but that is why you love them.
6. Trops would be Monica Geller from "Friends"
They both like to stick to the rules. That is why Trops has an entire wall of fake IDs, and Monica numbers all of her mugs.
7. Bengals would be Michael Scott from "The Office"
No one thought the day would ever come where they would be gone. Then suddenly, they disappeared, leaving an empty hole in our hearts. One thing is for sure: We definitely took them for granted when they were still around.
8. The FieldHouse would be Mac from "Always Sunny in Philadelphia"
This is the place for functional alcoholics, like Mac. With bottomless cups on Fridays and Penny Pitchers on Wednesdays, you can almost picture Mac as a regular at FieldHouse.
9. Piano Bar would be April Ludgate from "Parks and Recreation"
Most Mizzou students don't really know what it is like inside, seeing as they can't get in. From what they hear, though, it's pretty awesome, just like April once you get to know her.
10. International Tap House would be Fez from "That '70s Show"
It is a running joke on "That '70s Show" that no one really knows what country Fez is from. He could be from anywhere in the world, just like the beers at iTAP. He is chill and always down to try new things -- this is how you should be if you are spending your night here.
11. Room 38 would be Barney Stinson from "How I Met Your Mother"
He is a little fancier than the rest of his friends, just like Room 38 compared to other places in Columbia. You can always count on them for an expensive, but good, night out.
12. La Siesta would be Charlie Kelly from "Always Sunny in Philadelphia"
We aren't sure how both of these are still around. La Siesta charges $2 for a margarita the size of your head and lets anyone drink underage; Charlie Kelly is just illiterate and believes in things like leprechauns. Still, Columbia and "Always Sunny" would not be the same without them. They are a a fan favorite.
13. My House would be Jerry Gergich from "Parks and Recreation"
Even though it isn't open, you already don't like it, because there is no way it will be the same as Bengals. From the outside looking in, though, people can't understand why you are so against it. I guess you would have had to feel the heartbreak of Bengals closing to understand.
