What Every Miss State Gal Needs To Wear This Football Season
Hail State

The most wonderful time of the year is approaching. No not Christmas (even though it is approaching), the most wonderful time at Mississippi State is football season.

One question everybody asks during football season asks is, "What do I wear?" The MSU Athletic Department makes a schedule every year of what to wear. Yesterday, the schedule was released on forwhomthecowbelltolls.com .Here is the schedule of what to wear and even some ideas of good "Gameday Outfits."

This can be useful for the MSU student, parents of MSU guest, MSU faculty member, or anyone that is going to a home game at Davis Wade Stadium this football season.

These pictures also have links so you can look at them and maybe even buy them for this football season.

Mississippi State v. Charleston Southern- Whiteout Game (Sept. 2)

Usually, the first game is always a Whiteout Game due to the hot Mississippi weather. This year the season opener is no exception. So get your white ready for this season opener against Charleston Southern.

Mississippi State v. LSU- Upper Deck White, Lower Deck Maroon (Sept. 16)

The upper deck white and lower deck Maroon is always awesome to see in person. Looking at the stadium being covered in a sea of maroon and white. This is when the Bulldogs take "Maroon and white, fight, fight, fight," to the next level. Here are some ideas no matter what deck you find yourself on during the LSU this season.

MSU v. BYU- Upper Deck wears Maroon & Lower Deck wears white (Oct. 14)

This game will be a reverse of the LSU game. Maroon, white, fight, fight, fight.

MSU vs. UMass- Blackout (Nov. 4)

Blackout, or back out am I right? We come dressed for a funeral, a funeral for the other team, that is if we beat UMass this year. So get out your little black dresses and grab your cowbell for this year's Blackout game.

MSU vs. Alabama- True Maroon (Nov. 11)

In my opinion, some of the best games are the True Maroon games. I think it shows the true spirit of MSU, which we will need because the game against Alabama will be a hard one.

MSU vs. Ole Miss (The Egg Bowl)- True Maroon (Nov. 23)

The Egg Bowl is going to be True Maroon. This is going to be great for playing against Ole Miss because all the fans will be decked out in maroon against our biggest rival.

So get ready for the next season, may we have more games like the Texas A&M game from 2016 and less like the South Alabama game from 2016.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
