Miracles Still Happen

Jesus performs miracles, even though He's not here in the flesh anymore.

Personally, I feel like many Christians today don't believe in miracles. I've also been told by nonbelievers that if God were real, then the same miraculous healings and unbelievable, inexplicable phenomenons would still be happening.

I'm here to testify that they actually are still happening. I think a lot of people assume Jesus is a dude who comes for a visit to his "favorites" and leaves... like He can only be in one spot at a time -- that His soul is as small as we are. However, the truth is, that we actually live within Jesus. It's like pouring salt onto your popcorn. You typically don't pour salt onto your popcorn one piece at a time. If you're like most people, you would pour your salt onto your popcorn all at once, to where it touches every kernel in the bag at once. Well, that's how Jesus is with us. He's the salt that's spread across the entire globe all at once. He has contact with every human, every plant, and every animal on this earth.

So, getting into the miracles, I have to tell you that people's testimonies have miracles written all over them.

Lacey Sturm, former lead singer of Flyleaf, shared her amazing miracle with the public in this video.

Jesus does still perform miracles regardless of the fact that He's not here in the flesh. He called on His prophets and His followers to perform these acts in His name. He uses His people as instruments to heal and bring others to Him, like He used the church and the grandmother to help Lacey reach Him.

He performs miracles like these all the time. I've seen Him change so many lives, like Brian Welch, a member of the band Korn.

But he was just doing that to look like a good person, right? Well, truly, it doesn't make sense for him to completely stop doing highly addictive and dangerous drugs to make a God, that he doesn't even believe in, look good. It doesn't at all. It's extremely easy to see the authenticity in his testimony. That's a miracle.

It's not only these two people, either. There are so many people who have experienced very similar miracles and savings. God's miracles are everywhere on this earth. As mentioned before, He covers us like salt. He sees us all and we all matter at the same time.

The key to experiencing these miracles, is simply to call out to Jesus from your heart. The only thing you need to do is genuinely ask for Him to come into your life. He always listens and He can heal absolutely anything. He can take away any sort of pain, as He did for Lacey Sturm and Brian Welch.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
