"Millsberry" was before "Club Penguin" and "Webinz." It was an online world that allowed you to be an adult without being one in real life. The games were fun and the achievements were a million times better. But, it all ended in 2011 when the site shut down. Therefore, as a former "Millsberry" addict and to all the other "Millsberry" addicts out there, here are my 11 best "Millsberry" memories. Trust me, there are definitely way more!

1. The neighborhoods.

The neighborhood you chose to live in determined your personality for the entirety of your virtual life! Five neighborhoods = choose wisely! Ravenwood, where mystery is your middle name. Lakeview, where you believe in the existence of the Loch Ness monster. Golden Valley, where making money is your game. Westridge, all about a plain and simple exterior. Metro Park, only for the outdoorsy people.

2. The arcade.

Countless games meant countless hours in front of the computer screen. Why? Because you were bound and determined to win that trophy and the prize money!

Hop 'n Drop was where it was at!

3. Building your house.

Choosing the neighborhood to live in was a challenge, but building and designing your house was excruciating. But, building floors in your house made you feel like an architect. After all, nothing got you more excited than adding a new room.

4. Cleanliness.

Whether it started in the bathroom with you brushing your buddy's teeth, or in the refrigerator as you fed them some water, Millsberry was all about good hygiene and cleanliness. After all, your buddy wouldn't interact with others if they smelled like week-old socks! Hygiene and exercise: it was life or death!

5. Savvy shopping.

You learned to pick your style at the furniture store while also choosing all the sugary sweets (plus the occasional vegetable) at the local grocery store!

6. Scavenging.

You fine-tuned your scavenging skills when it came to yard sales!

7. One word: trophies.

Rooms were cool, but trophies were cooler. In fact, I even had a room dedicated to all of my Sherman's Home Run Derby trophies.

8. Pets!

You were allowed to buy a pet, which ultimately taught you about responsibility.

9. Downtown Millsberry.

Downtown Millsberry was your home away from home. It was where everything was, such as the grocery store, the arcade and the bookstore.

10. The buddy.

Your buddy was who you really wanted to be. They could have any hairstyle and crazy-colored hair yourheart desired. Not to mention the endless amounts of clothes your buddy could wear, all at the touch of a button.

11. Millsberry Academy.

Going to school! Why? So I can get a trophy! Millsberry Academy was where you got lunch, learned hygiene, learned about sports, and focused on graduating. Even though it was an online community/game, Millsberry Academy ensured that you still knew a thing or two.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
