They call us the millennials. We are those born from 1980-2000. There are about 76 million of us. We have the most diverse population in the United States of any generation before us. They call us the “net” generation because we cannot remember a time before there was no internet, making us the most technologically savvy group up to date.
On the negative side, we have been called lazy, narcissistic and prone to jump from job to job. They say we have unrealistic expectations about the working life due to over-exaggeration of our minimal accomplishments in life. However, on the plus side, we are considered to be more open-minded and inclusive of the GBTO community. We are also said to be receptive to new ideas and philosophies and have an upbeat attitude towards change. Take it or leave it. That is how they define the millennials.
