I have never considered myself as being part of the “fashion world,” but I have mentioned in my previous article that I call myself “Instagram devotee.” I’ve seen how the fashion industry has grown exponentially and how now everyone tries to dress up in outfits from the 80’s or 90’s. Plus, gender doesn’t really seem to be a big factor nowadays; therefore, it makes everything more exciting about what’s next in the fashion industry. This is true especially now that the millennial generation is all about being yourself and "You do you." is a common phrase. For me, my inspirations comes from my friends and mostly Jessica Day from "New Girl." I always adored looking at my friends’ outfits, and I always wondered what they would wear next. Lately, I’ve been thinking about what inspires them and if they've always been into fashion. I’m always eager to know what drives people to create such well-coordinated and stylish outfits. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to interview some of my friends to get some insights about their inspirations. Nowadays, there are a lot of new fashion trends rising up, but everyone should feel free to dress up as they like. Sincewe proclaim ourselves to be part of the millennial generation and everything is about being carefree, we place a big emphasis on wearing whatever we feel most comfortable in. So, as always, "You do you."

Ramiro Vogel- 19 years old- St. Augustine, Florida

S: What is a typical Monday outfit for you?

R: Well, that depends on my mood, but it’s usually something dark. Let’s say a black t-shirt, rolled up skinny-black jeans and black tennis shoes. Simple!

S: Do you have any fashion inspirations?

R: One of my biggest inspirations is Jaden Smith, he’s an icon for gender neutral fashion.

S: Were you always into fashion?

R: My interest in fashion began in 2014; a trip to Boston opened my mind and since then my style has been forever evolving.

S: One word to describe your style?

R: Urban!

S:What are some of your favorite stores to shop?

R: ZARA, Bershka, H&M, TOPMAN and the ASOS marketplace.

S: What makes you passionate about fashion?

GA: I wouldn't really say I'm passionate about it, but I love it because I think dressing the way I want to dress– regardless of my gender–is exciting. As a kid, I never thought it was okay for girls to dress any differently than the representation we got on TV. Button downs were for men and dresses were for women. Now dressing the way, I do, I like to think I'm inspiring other girls to do the same. For me it's about loving yourself; spreading that self-love.

S: What are some of your favorite stores to shop?

GA: I love to hit up any thrift shop; from Goodwill’s to flea markets. It's exciting as hell when you find vintage band tees and retro!

S: Who inspires you?

GA: I've always been inspired by women in music. Music, a huge passion of mine, has always been a world dominated by men; therefore, seeing women killing it and being successful in it makes me insanely happy. I think 80% of the music I listen to is female fronted.

S: What trend have you followed recently?

GA: Lately, I've been going all vintage - denim all day every day. I've said before that my goal is to look like the kids from Stranger Things.

S: One word to describe your style

GA: Dad

Gracie Thompson- 17 years old- Gainesville, Florida

S: Are you following any current fashion industry (Magazine, blogs, or a model)?

GT: I follow a few models like Diana Silvers and Scarlett Rose Leithold. They are both naturally stunning, and don't try too hard to change their appearances, which is refreshing.

S: What are some of you favorite stores to shop?

GT: I love Urban Outfitters, Pacsun, American Eagle, and Cotton On. My absolute favorite fashion store is Brandy Melville. Sadly there isn't one where I live so I usually go once a year to demolish my bank account! They have that retro style that I'm drawn to. I think their clothes compliment my body well and they're super comfy!

S: What trend have you followed recently?

GT: Recently, I've really enjoyed finding quirky items at thrift stores and making them look cute with the rest of my body! It shouldn't matter what you wear; as long as you're confident! (For the most part).

S: What is your favorite fashion item to wear daily?

GT: Hmm, that's hard! I have a thin black choker with a light blue gem in the middle that I never take off, and often I'll like to add a longer chain necklace with an Australian 1-cent coin on the end to remind me that I'm priceless. I also love wearing items with meaning, whether it's my mom's shirt or a gift from a special person. It allows you to represent yourself and remind you of who you are.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
