I Am A Millenial Woman And A Feminist

It's time we stop tearing others down for how they live their own life.

As I read through your article, I was truly taking in everything you had to write and tried to understand your point of view on why you are not a feminist. First I would like to say that I myself am a feminist because I believe that women deserve to have their own mindset on anything they do. I myself like to have the car door opened for me but doesn't mean I get to dictate how others feel. I don't get to tell others how they want to be treated because it is none of my business.

Maybe it's my California heritage that allowed me to decide how I wanted to view the world and how I wanted to create my own rules, but I truly understood that being a feminist allows women to be treated THE WAY they have always wanted to be treated.

I understand how you want to be there for your husband and kids, I do too!! But I am also a feminist because many women don't get the simplicity of being a stay-at-home Mother. There are women currently being human trafficked all around the world, children are being married into at age 9 and impregnated by age 13, there's STILL no equal pay and women in the Democratic society we are in are discouraged to have the CHOICE of their own bodies (like it's a mans opinion to dictate how women should take care of their bodies).

I am not a feminist because I hate men. I am a feminist because I believe that every woman deserves the chance to decide their life like me and you have the opportunity to do.

I also cannot wait for my future, but I also am supporting the future of others. I want my daughter to feel like she can do anything she sets her mind to. If she wants to be a stay-at-home mother go for it! But if she wants to be a CEO of a company who am I to stand in her way? We all are searching for the end goal of happiness, so why are we not helping each other?

Feminism is not hate. Feminism is not tearing down those who want to be a mom. Feminism is allowing yourself the ability to have individuality. Feminism is opening the eyes of others that we do deserve better rights. I am a feminist because it is none of my business what a woman wants to do. It is time to support each other more than ever.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
