Midterms are honestly one of the worst parts of college. They're like finals, except you still have to go back to class the next day. College is supposed to prepare us for the real world; who better to describe the horror of midterms than the real world we all wish we lived in on The Office?

1. Realizing how soon midterms are

2. When the professor is covering new material and the midterm is tomorrow

3. When the professor asks if anyone has questions about the midterm

4. Reviewing everything you were supposed to have learned in the last few weeks

5. Finding literally anything to distract yourself from studying

7. Realizing that you haven't had a real meal in days

8. Finding the perfect spot to nap in the library

9. Still feeling completely unprepared for midterms

10. Deciding to go out the night before a midterm

11. Waking up 15 minutes before your midterm

12. Seeing a topic that the professor definitely said WOULDN'T be on the midterm

13. Bullshitting your way through an essay question

14. And adding a few more sentences for good measure

15. Studying all night and still feeling like you failed

16. Hearing a classmate complain about how ridiculous that midterm was

17. Realizing you answered a question wrong after the midterm is over

18. When your friends ask how midterms are going

19. Finishing one midterm only to remember there's another one tomorrow

20. Feeling like you are actually prepared for your next midterm

21. When that one person who never shows up to class and said they didn't study at all magically aces the midterm

22. Feeling like midterms will never be over

23. Passing the midterm you thought you bombed

24. Walking out of your last midterm

25. Realizing that finals are only a couple weeks away

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
