On the Sunday of November 4, 2018, the ABC network channel has shown their anticipated 2-hour special, Mickey's 90th Spectacular at 8 p.m. to celebrate Mickey Mouse's birthday. As a Disney and Mickey Mouse fan, I was very excited to watch this.

Here's why it was such a fun celebration.

1. Celebrities you know have come to celebrate

Celebrities such as Kirsten Bell, John Stamos, Josh Gad and many more have come to celebrate Mickey Mouse's birthday. Most of them have done lots of great speeches that are informative, emotional, funny and nostalgic as well as performances. In their speeches, they have discussed on how Mickey has positively impacted their lives, and then, they end their speeches by sending their birthday wishes to Mickey, who sits on his chair, actively listening and watching each celebrity presenter on stage. Moreover, we also receive glimpses of documentary-like clips and images of Walt Disney on how he has made and named Mickey Mouse on paper in some of these presentations.

2. Rare performances that you do not see daily

This is a special where lots of performances can only be seen here and nowhere else. In the beginning, you can see that it starts off with a dynamic performance of everyone dressed up in red, dancing, and beating with drums. Then, we see Mickey happily come in on stage as everyone cheers loudly. I, too cheer with my sisters when Mickey enters the stage and appear in our TV. We also realize that the stage changes into many different, and stunning colors and backgrounds, which makes the stage gorgeous to see throughout the special. There are also great performances that have been played on stage such as Sofia Carlson's "Part of Your World" and Tori Kelly's "Colors of the Wind." There are also amazing performances such as the famous Korean boy band, NCT 127 dancing in sync with Mickey Mouse and let's not forget about Mickey's awesome performance on the drums.

3. Mickey Mouse himself

Although it's his birthday celebration, Mickey is always a joy to watch. Every time a presenter comes his way, he is always so polite and gives them hugs. Yes, his reactions are great to watch. The emotions that he displays and what he says whenever he is touched, happy, and grateful are what truly make the special so fulfilling to watch. Moreover, Mickey, whenever he comes out to join the stage as a surprise, makes the performance way better. We also get to peek on some of the old and new Mickey Mouse cartoons that he got really famous for. In addition, Mickey Mouse brings back your love for Disney and of course, for Mickey Mouse himself too. He is an awesome audience, performer and idol to have and see.

To see more of the surprises and performances, I recommend you watching this Mickey's 90thSpectacular and don't you dare skip any of the performances because you will indeed miss a lot of fun. But remember this, the party does not start until Mickey comes in.

Happy Birthday, Mickey Mouse! Thank you for your 90 years of always making me never to stop dreaming, never to give up, and putting a smile onto my face and making my world more colorful and animated than before.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
