The amazing thing about memories is that they are there whether we think "I want to remember this moment" or not. I went to a friend's bridal shower and while talking to some of her friends I realized: These are HER friends but our paths have crossed occasionally throughout the years and ALL of us have made memories, no matter how small.

So many moments go unnoticed.

Here are some memories with a couple of my lifelong friends:

1. Driving

I have recently been informed of my crazy driving days from a friend's friend. Sorry, no more sharp turns here!

2. Take Your Friend To School Day

You told me it was okay to come to your school to shadow you for the day as long as I wore the uniform. Ha! Found out that wasn't true until I met with your principal who nicely let me stay the day.

3. RENT

We went to see RENT on Broadway!!!

4. Lost in Center City

Remember getting lost in Center City after going to Insomnia Cookies and you telling me not to make eye contact with the pimp walking by? Good to know!

5. Sneaking Out Your House

Remember hopping out of your parents' house's window? Before that, we were sneaking down the steps and you later yelled at me for making the floor creek because I was pregnant.

6. Face Kick in Puerto Rico

In Puerto Rico, I kicked you in the face because I was grumpy and you gave my foot the grip of death along with the scary mom look. It's good to know we're still friends.

7. Willingboro, NJ Talent Show

Remember when we did a talent show and won? I felt I wasn't good enough and didn't collect my prize money... I regret not getting my $20 cut.

8. Eyeliner Transformation

You used eyeliner to make a mustache and beard for yourself to look like a boy.

9. Salsa Dancing

We did it at school, at the Atrium, and everywhere else.

10. Glow-In-The-Dark Room

Your room had glow-in-the-dark star stickers all over them. It was really the best room I'd ever seen in the dark.

11. Sleepover

My mom still has the VHS tape. Yes, I am still that goofy and no we couldn't sing to save our lives.

12. Florida

You sat on the concrete for a couple minutes, stood up, and got an instant tan on the back of your legs.

13. My Georgia Friend

I went to church with you for the Y2K thing that New Years. LOL. "Y2K" was such a joke.

14. Bike/Ramp Malfunction

Well the ramp didn't work and I flew off the bike. I laughed so I wouldn't cry but I REALLY wanted to cry

15. Icicle Surprise

We gathered the icicles hanging off of gutters to eat them in the house.

16. Spanish Class in High School

Yes, the truth is I took that class for an easy A. So much nonsense. It's unforgettable.

17. Six Flags

Some people from California wanted my picture because they thought I was Alicia Keys regardless of how short I was.

18. 21 and Learning To Drive

I remember letting you park my car. I was 18 and you were 21 and just learning to drive. That was the longest I've ever seen anyone take to park a car. I am sure you're a pro now!

So many memories with so many friends.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
