5 Random Facts About Barley And Hops:

1. Can't tell the difference between Barley and Hops? There are three easy ways to identify them. Firstly, look at their noses. Barley's nose is almost entirely black. However, Hops has pink spots on his nose, making him stand out. Secondly, Barley is slightly heavier than Hops, making him appear much larger than his brother. Finally, you can use the color of their collars to identify them. Barley sports a blue collar, and Hops wears a red collar.

2. Barley and Hops are both fascinated by bunnies. If they spot a bunny in the window, the puppies throw their paws on the panels in hopes of reaching the creatures. During their daily walks, Barley and Hops chase the bunnies through the grass until they disappear in the woods.

3. Try mentioning a squirrel around them. Instantly, Barley and Hops bark at every window until the animal disappears. Hops—clueless as always—continues to bark even after the squirrel runs away.

4. Both Hops and Barley enjoy sleeping in awkward positions. Hops lays under the piano on his back, leaving his legs sticking up in the air. Barley prefers the laundry room where he can crush his face against the door and press his back against the wooden stair.

5. Whenever a bean bag chair is within their reach, Barley and Hops compete for a spot. They use their fierce growls to display their dominance, but they quiet down as soon as they melt into the bean bag chair.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
