Everyone has that one class in college with a professor that always says absurd things that make you roll your eyes. And it’s at that point in the semester where you are officially stuck in this class until May rolls around. So this is how I have come to cope with this class:
1. We don’t need to learn this because it won’t be on the homework.
*Logs onto WebAssign, clicks onto a learn how to video* “So, to find the vertex of the equation you need to use completing the square” Cue my confused face because we were told we didn’t need to learn this.
2. This is a safe place to take a chance on an answer.
It may be a safe place, but the humiliation of getting an answer wrong will linger with me for the rest of my life.
3. I’m not gonna go over this because most of you have completed tonight’s homework.
Well, it would still be super helpful if you reviewed it so I could understand it on the exam.
4. Our second exam is on April five.
Yes, you read that correctly. Not April Fifth, but April FIVE.5. I’m just going to teach you this quickly.
Because I’m still paying attention when there are thirty seconds left in the class.
Yes, math is a very useful subject when taught to you correctly. So, while I'm teaching myself at home the "concepts we didn't need to learn", my math teacher will continue to make these frivelous comments.
